HELIOS-7: Signal Lost
Privacy Policy
Mintleap Inc. ("Mintleap," "we," "us," or "our") provides the mobile game HELIOS-7: Signal Lost (the "Game"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you use the Game, why, who receives it, and the choices you have.
In short: The Game has no account or login. Your progress is saved on your device. Two third-party services — Google AdMob (ads) and GameAnalytics (gameplay statistics) — receive limited device and usage data. The Game does not track you across other companies' apps and websites.
1. Information we collect
The Game does not require an account. Mintleap does not operate its own servers for the Game and does not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or payment information through the Game.
The Game saves your gameplay progress and settings locally on your device so the Game can work.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Game uses Google AdMob to show optional rewarded advertisements (for example, watching a short ad to receive a hint). The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share the following information for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, and ad delivery:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate general location (country or city level);
- device identifiers (see "Device identifiers" below);
- interactions with the app and advertisements, such as app launches, taps, ad views, and video views; and
- diagnostic and performance information, such as app launch time, hangs, and energy usage.
Depending on your region, the Game may ask for your consent before showing personalized advertising. For more information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.
Analytics (GameAnalytics)
We use GameAnalytics, provided by GameAnalytics ApS (Denmark), to understand how players progress through the Game and to find bugs. GameAnalytics may collect: a randomly generated player ID, device model, operating system and version, app version, approximate country (derived from your IP address), session start and end times, in-game progress events (such as rooms entered and puzzles completed), and error reports. This data is not used to identify you personally.
Device identifiers
Our advertising and analytics partners may use device identifiers to deliver ads, limit how often you see the same ad, prevent fraud, and measure performance.
- On Android, this may include the Android advertising ID and the app set ID.
- On iOS, the Game does not request permission to track you (App Tracking Transparency), so your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) is not available to us or to our partners. Our partners may instead use the identifier for vendor (IDFV) or a randomly generated identifier, which cannot be used to track you across apps from other companies.
2. How information is used
- Advertising data is used to deliver and measure ads, provide the rewarded-ad (hint) feature, help prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain ad performance.
- Analytics data is used to measure player progress, improve puzzle difficulty and game balance, and diagnose crashes and errors.
- Locally stored gameplay data is used only to provide the Game's features on your device.
3. Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information.
- Advertising data collected through the Google Mobile Ads SDK is shared with Google and its advertising partners as needed to provide advertising, measurement, and fraud-prevention services.
- Analytics data is shared with GameAnalytics ApS for the purposes described above. GameAnalytics processes this data in accordance with its privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
4. Your choices
- Android: You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings > Google > Ads (menu names may vary by device), and opt out of personalized ads.
- iOS: The Game does not ask to track you. You can also turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track" in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and manage Apple's personalized ads in Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising. The identifier for vendor (IDFV) is reset when you delete all apps from the same developer.
- Google ads personalization: You can manage how Google personalizes ads at myadcenter.google.com.
- Uninstalling the Game stops all further data collection by the Game and its partners.
5. Data retention and deletion
- On your device: Your gameplay progress and settings stay on your device until you delete them by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the Game.
- Analytics and advertising data: This data is retained by GameAnalytics and Google according to their own retention policies.
- Deletion requests: To request deletion of analytics data associated with your device, email support@mintleap.io with the subject "Data deletion request". We will forward your request to GameAnalytics and respond within 10 days. Because the Game does not collect your name or email, we may ask for information that helps identify your device's data.
- Withdrawing consent: You can stop all further collection at any time by uninstalling the Game. See "Your choices" for how to reset or limit device identifiers.
6. International transfers
Information collected through the Game is transferred to and processed by the following service providers outside your country:
| Recipient | Country | Data transferred | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google LLC (AdMob) Privacy contact |
United States | IP address, device identifiers, ad interaction data, diagnostics | Ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention | Per Google's policy |
| GameAnalytics ApS Privacy policy |
Denmark (EU) | Random player ID, device and OS information, approximate country, gameplay events, error reports | Game analytics and bug fixing | Per GameAnalytics' policy |
Data is transferred over encrypted network connections while you use the Game. You may refuse the transfer by not installing or by uninstalling the Game. The Game itself keeps working if you reset or limit identifiers, although ads may be less relevant.
7. Children's privacy
The Game is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Mintleap, contact us and we will review and delete it as appropriate.
8. Security
Mintleap does not store Game data on its own servers. Data sent to our partners is transmitted over encrypted connections, and each partner protects it under its own security program.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Game or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date.
